Mexborough Cricket Club are looking forward to the 2016 season and carry forward the successes of 2015 into the new year.

In the South Yorkshire Senior Cricket League our first team enter Division 3 having spent most of 2015 unbeaten an ending the season as division 4 champions.  The 2nd team look to build on the stability of 2015 and with new signings captain James Clark and vice captain Brandon Cook are hopeful of increased success.

2015 saw the Sunday team victorious and league champions in the Barnsley and District Sunday league for the second year running and captain Michael Faley is looking to lift the trophy for the third year running.

Midweek Cricket continues in 2016 but we see a new face in charge of the team with Neil Spruce stepping up to fill the size 12 boots of Ryan Tingle.

In junior cricket the coaches are hopeful that the under 13 team will be strengthened by the players moving up from the under 11 team resulting in some positive results for 2016.  The future of the under 9s team is bright as more junior players join the club.

Pre season training commences 15th January at Mexborough Acadamy, Juniors from 17:00 and Seniors from 18:00.  None Mexborough PLayers are welcome to join the sessions.
