There is a lot going on in Mexborough over the coming weeks and Mexborough Athletic Club and the Wider Mexborough Community Campus are at the hear of many of these events.

04 May sees the Tour De Yorkshire pass through the town.  Working with Mexborough Events Committee the grounds are going to be the base for a number of activities to entertain spectators through out the day.  The club will be open, we will have a marquee in place with music to help pass the time.  Tea Coffee etc will be on sale from community groups who use the youth club.  And it goes without saying the place will be full off yellow and blue bikes.

Then 27th May see Oliver Dawson Saxon headline the Mexborough Music Festival which is raising money to support the activities on both the sports club and the youth club.  Lead Guitarist of ODS, Graham Oliver learnt to play guitar in the exact same youth club for which he is now helping to raise funds for.  Helping secure the future of the youth and community centre allowing work to continue and support current and future generations and who knows create music stars for the future.

In amongst all that we have hosted, and are still hosting local football finals and the cricket and tennis seasons are now in full swing.

Blue Chair Youth Cafe, a Mexborough Life Church Session, runs Sunday and Monday Evenings in the youth club and plans are developing for a music themed youth club to be supported by many of the Bands who use the youth club as a rehearsal venues.

Keep and eye on these Facebook page for more up to date news of event.
